Those were quite popular in the States. FWD F2 and F2t powered. Simple and reliable. You might check out mx6.com. I wouldn't consider it any more of a concern than buying a 90 Miata. Two relatives owned the F2 non turbo power sedans and put over 200k miles on them before selling them as running/driving cars w/o any major mechanical issues.
