Oh, I understand technical reasonings for doing it.  The feel (at least on the NC) was just a little...off, though.  Couldn't quite put my finger on it but it just felt kind of numb.

It's another tool the OEMs have for reducing
emissions.  You can't open the throttle fast enough for the ECU to get a
little behind in its fuel & timing calculations.  Plus it simplifies
traction control.

& gas pedal. vs. a Cable operated throttle plate.


More & more modern cars are run this way: Vette, STi,
etc.
