Hoping you guys are planning on using Anti-seize grease when putting the
PPF back on!! Makes life a lot easier next time around. ... Atleast
for me it did. :-)

Peter,
I broke mine loose with an 18" breaker bar with an impact socket
attached. If there's a lot of rust it's possibly frozen in the spacer
block between the PPF and the housing. The only hope there is a lot of
PB Blaster, heat, an impact gun and a great deal of foul language
(optional but recommended). I ended up cutting the PPF off from the rear
end I bought to expedite the job and because I had no way to secure the
loose unit outside the vehicle. The PPF was worth $4.50 in scrap.
Good luck,
Mark

Subject: stuck bolt
hi,
the PowerPlantFrame PPF is secured, (on the rear) , with 2 17mm bolts.
the forward one is stuck. i started with a 3/8 ratchet, went to an air
ratchet, 1/2 air gun, 3/8 ratchet w/ a 8' black pipe extention, (this
worked quite well at snapping the socket :). if i had a 3/8 to 1/2
adapter i would use that with the 3/8 ratchet and pipe but i do not have
one...suggestions?
tia,
peter
