I'd suggest using a 3/4" drive breaker bar and socket. Unfortunately
they can be quite expensive and somewhat hard to find. Several years
ago I picked up a 3/4" drive ratchet set of Chinese origin for only
$30. There have been a few occasions when I was very glad I had it.
When I changed out my differential was one, and my car has never been
exposed to road salt or winter weather.
FYI, Harbor Freight currently sells 3/4" ratchet sets for $49.99 &
$59.99.
