Your going to need heat.

I bought this kit when I had an axle nut that refused to come out. I needed
something cheap and much hotter than a propane torch and this kit worked
perfectly. About 5 minutes of heating started to get the nut red and it then
came off like it was hand tight! The only issue with this kit is that it will
eat oxygen tanks when your going for a hot flame so keep a couple in stock.
I don't think Sears still sells the kit since I couldn't find it on there
site but they do have it at my local store along with mapp and oxygen refill
tanks.

But I did find this one that is quite a bit more than what I paid but should
do the job as well,

Yes,

1/2" breaker bars flex too much. I got a really beefy 3/4 breaker bar at
Harbor Freight for around $20. Nothing can defeat that thing !

I'd suggest using a 3/4" drive breaker bar and socket. Unfortunately they
can be quite expensive and somewhat hard to find. Several years ago I
picked up a 3/4" drive ratchet set of Chinese origin for only $30. There
have been a few occasions when I was very glad I had it. When I changed out
my differential was one, and my car has never been exposed to road salt or
winter weather.

FYI, Harbor Freight currently sells 3/4" ratchet sets for $49.99 & $59.99.
