RE: gasket sets

I'm not sure I understand why you need a gasket set if you're not taking the
head off the engine. Just what are you going to do to the engine that you
need gaskets for if the head isn't coming off? Other than a timing belt
that needs a cam cover gasket what else can be done that needs gaskets if
the head is still on the engine?

hi,

i went to the big box jobber to get a gasket set, (engine minus head) and
was told there is no kit like this, just head or full eng and head and i
would have to piece what i need. since i was not going to remove the head
from the block i got, where can i get an eng gasket set minus head?
